The promotion and support of young researchers is a central concern of FG-DB, the database and information systems section of German Informatics Society (GI). The student program of BTW offers students and future junior scientists the chance to present their work to a scientific audience, to learn more about the area of “databases and information systems”, and to network and interact with academic and industrial experts.
We invite interested students to apply to the student program of the BTW 2023. To do so, upload a short paper on your BSc/MSc thesis, your own scientific project, or your internship via ConfTool. Applications will be reviewed and assessed by the student program mentoring team.
Why participate in the student program of BTW23?
Accepted contributions will be published in the Proceedings of BTW 2023 (workshop volume).
Your are invited to BTW23 and participate at the full conference program (no conference fees), including a free conference dinner!
You will be supported by a member of the mentoring team during the conference.
All accepted contributions will be part of the poster session of BTW and presented to an expert audience.
The best student contribution will receive an award. The awardee will have the opportunity to present his or her work to an expert audience in the main program of the conference.
Conditions of participation:
Candidates must have been registered as a regular student on January 1, 2022.
Willingness to present accepted contributions within the poster session / in the main program.
Contributions can be submitted in English or in German language. They have to comply with the layout requirements of the conference proceedings (↗ LNI style) and are limited to 6 pages in length (not including references).
