The State of Maryland requires all persons working with or around children to be fingerprinted and to have a criminal background check completed before their responsibilities begin.
Key School works with a local company called Mid-Atlantic Regional Investigations, which offers LiveScan fingerprinting services and will submit prints for the necessary background check.
You need to contact Mid-Atlantic to make an appointment to be fingerprinted prior to your start date. For more information: https://www.marinvestigations.com/
Key School must receive the results of your background check before your employment/volunteer with Key School commences. You are responsible for the fingerprinting service fee, which is approximately $25.
Key School will incur the background check expenses. You need to give the finger printer Key’s authorization number of 9000031762

Hello Ms.Green
I’ve hope you’ve been well.
My experience at the Key school was amazing!
The faculty and staff were very uplifting and positive throughout my whole practicum experience and treated me with the upmost respect. My teachers that I were assigned to were also great as well.
My advice to other students would be to have an open mind when entering the key school because it is very different than a public school environment.
If I had to rate my experience at the Key school I would give it a 10 out of 10!
Warm regards,
Taylor Brashears, Fall 2021
