Upon receipt of the above documents, you will receive an email:
Approval to start your field experience
Information regarding your school placement, the school's contact person, and your pre-service teacher
Information regarding your first day
Background clearance information will be linked to the student's profile in MCPS Careers. If the student fails to create a profile, the background information cannot be verified.
Background information (fingerprinting) can be completed once for field experience as long as the college/university student remains in MCPS for consecutive semesters. Breaks longer than 6 months will require the student to be re-fingerprinted at the current cost.
