Students seeking placement in Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) must follow the following requirements:
Complete the CCPS application, save it, and email it to Mrs. Holly Dolan (hdolan@ccboe.com) and cc Professor Green - you can type on the application after downloading it; however, your signature cannot be typed. After completing and signing the form, you must "scan" the document. Use a scanning app to scan and ensure the whole document is clear.
You must complete the Sterling Volunteers application online and send confirmation of completion to Mrs. Holly Dolan (hdolan@ccboe.com) and cc Professor Green.
You must contact Mary Aron (maron@ccboe.com) to schedule fingerprinting, a full background check, and a DHS form. (NEW) Students must undergo fingerprinting if they have been away from CCPS for a period exceeding 30 days; there is no fee associated with the fingerprinting process.

Upon receipt of the required documents, you will receive an email:
Once the process has been completed, and the CCPS Office of Professional Learning has received confirmation and an “all clear” from our Safety and Human Resources departments, we will send an additional confirmation to the intern, the advisor, the cooperating teacher, and the principal of the placement school.
You must ensure that Professor Green is cc'd in this email. If not, forward the email to Professor Green.
