In partnership with our parish community, St. Barnabas School strives to deliver a first-class Catholic education that combines rigorous academics with spiritual development, guiding students on the path of Christ to become knowledgeable, moral, and compassionate servant leaders.
St. Barnabas students will enjoy an all-student retreat on campus on Friday, September 13 following 8:30 AM Mass (please join us!). Please bring a towel for the students to sit on at lunchtime while we enjoy an outdoor picnic.
Join us for an informational Meeting on Tuesday, September 10th from 3:00 - 3:30 in Room 203. Open to all students in grades 5-8. Practices will be every other week, grouped by 5th / 6th graders one week and 7th /8th graders the opposite week. Click here for more information.
Attention Art Lovers Grades 3-8! Art Club is a time for students to get together and be creative. We will be doing a variety of projects, including ceramics. A $25 fee will be charged to your facts account to cover the cost of supplies. We will be starting up for the Fall semester.
Grade 3-5 will meet after school on Wednesdays until 4pm

Students are permitted to wear a red, white, and blue shirt with uniform bottom on Wednesday, September 11th. Show your love for this great country of ours as we celebrate Patriot's Day!
Back to school Re-enrollment Forms are due by September 15th for all students in grades K - 8th. Please be sure your address, phone number, emergency contacts, and ANY medications that your child takes regularly are accurate.
To access the forms log on to the FACTS Family Portal. Our District Code is SBCS-OH. Once logged into FACTS, click the Enrollment/Reenrollment link on the left side menu.
If you completed this information last year, the process will be quick, as most information will be already pre-populated for your family.

Winter sports registration opens on Monday, 9/9! Early registration ($10 discount per sport) runs through 9/22. Registration ends on Monday, 9/30. St. Barnabas will offer the following sports in Winter 2024:

🎵 Show Choir will be on Tuesdays after school until 3:15 beginning on 9/17/24. This is available for grades 4th through 8th. You will receive a detailed email with the Show Choir information upon registration. This is a free club and we are excited for year number two!

🎶 Prep Choir will be on Thursdays after school until 3:15 beginning on 9/19/24. This is available for grades 4th through 8th. This is a free club! Prep Choir is more music theory-based. Students will learn: Music theory skills, basic vocal technique, posture, breathing, unison and part singing, sight singing, how to read music and rhythms *note- this is a different type of choir than the St. Barnabas Children's choir, should students decide to do both this would be a different experience!

Our Extended day program is in need of additional help! This is a perfect role for grandparents and college or high school students. Afternoon, flexible hours are available! If you have any questions or know anyone interested, please contact Mrs. Majoros at dmajoros@barnabasohio.org

New this year! St. Barnabas School is launching a Grandparent's Club! There will be volunteer opportunities, events and fun ways to get involved in their grandchildren’s school.
We are looking for committee members if you know a grandparent or special person who would like to be involved, please contact Mr. Seislove or Mrs. Skelin.

Extended Day Registration - If your child(ren) plans to utilize our Extended Day or Little Blazer Care, please complete the Registration Form before the first day of school.
Extended Day for grades K-8 will open with regular hours of 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. starting Wednesday, August 21.
Little Blazer Extended Day will open with regular hours of 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. starting Monday, August 26.
FACTS & Tuition - EdChoice acceptance letters and Limited Power of Attorney forms were due today, September 6th. All families receiving EdChoice Expansion Scholarships received an email earlier this week with links to the documents that need to be signed and returned to the school. Youth Choir Signup: The Saint Dominic Savio Children’s Choir sings primarily at school Masses on Fridays at 8:30 am, but also for intermittent 10:30 am Masses. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays after school in the church. To sign up for the Saint Dominic choir, please fill out the form.
After School Gymnastics - Learning Ladder is offering St. Barnabas After School gymnastics program for students 1st - 3rd grade on Tuesdays from 3:30 - 4:15 PM (9/3-10/8). Registration is now open and spots are limited. Learn more.
Edge Registration - Edge is a Catholic middle school (6-8) youth ministry program provided by Life Teen. It offers a safe and fun place for youth to find a solid Catholic community, get answers to their questions about faith, and experience Jesus profoundly and personally. Please join us rain or shine on 9/6/2024 for our St. Barnabas Family Outdoor Movie Night! We will be watching the movie IF. The show will begin at 8:15 p.m. Entrance starts at 7:00 p.m. In the event of rain, we will be in the gym. Please bring blankets to sit on as chairs will not be permitted in the gym.
This is a FREE event to attend this year, however, we will have concessions available for sale. Concessions will include pizza, popcorn, candy, Gatorade, water and some more fun items. There will also be raffle baskets and 50/50 raffle tickets so be sure to bring cash.
