⌚ While we are sure children are anxious to share what they found under their Christmas tree, just a reminder that Apple watches are not permitted at school. They may be worn to school but must be kept in a bookbag during school hours.
This Christmas break is a perfect opportunity to review and update uniform pieces that may no longer fit. Please take a moment to ensure that polos, pants, and skirts meet the dress code requirements, including appropriate length. Schoolbelles is having a 40% off everything sale January 8-11th, so there is still time to get any needed uniform items at a significant discount!
Additionally, we encourage all boys to get haircuts over the break if needed. With the extra time during vacation, it's a great opportunity to check this off your to-do list!

Wow! St. Barnabas has done it again! 🎉 We are thrilled to share that St. Barnabas will receive $265,000 in Angel Scholarship funds (preliminary number as of 1/2/25). This is $15,000 more than last year—what an incredible accomplishment!
Even better, the Diocese has informed us that contributions made through April 15 will count toward the 2025-2026 school year. This means you can continue referring family, friends, and neighbors to contribute to the Angel Scholarship Fund. This $265,000 number can only increase to help reduce tuition for all St. Barnabas students.
At this pace, we’re on track to draw two names for the $2,500 tuition credit, and if we reach $300,000 by April 15, we’ll draw a third winner! Thank you for your continued support in making Catholic education more accessible for our community. Let’s keep the momentum going!

After-School Gymnastics - Do you have a Pre-K or Kindergartener who loves gymnastics? Sign up for Learning Ladder Gymnastics on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:00 PM @ St. Barnabas School in Bedell Commons from January 14 - February 18. Click here to register.
Where in the World? While some of our grandparents are volunteering at school, others are traveling or simply do not live in the area. However, we would love to hear from them! The Grandparents Club is starting a postcard board to connect with those who are on the road. If your child(ren)’s grandparents would like to send a postcard to the St. Barnabas student body, our address is 9200 Olde 8 Rd. Northfield, Ohio 44067. The postcards will be displayed as we identify “Where in the World are Our Grandparents?”

Message From Clinic: As cold and flu season approaches, this is a reminder to please keep your children home if they are not feeling well. This is important to stop the spread of illnesses. Students must be fever and symptom free for 24 hours before returning to school and after school activities. We will be starting our vision and hearing screening for required grades. Extended Day Registration - If your child(ren) plans to utilize our Extended Day or Little Blazer Care, please complete the Registration Form before the first day of school.
Extended Day for grades K-8 will open with regular hours of 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Little Blazer Extended Day will open with regular hours of 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Youth Choir Signup: The Barnabas Church Choir sings primarily at school Masses on Fridays at 8:30 am, but also for intermittent 10:30 am Masses. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays after school in the church. To sign up for the St. Barnabas Children's Choir choir, please fill out the form.
Volunteer Opportunities: We are looking for volunteers to help assist in the Library this year. If you are interested, contact the Librarian, Mrs. Farinella, at laurenfarinella@barnabasohio.org. 7th and 8th graders of St. Barnabas--You are invited to a White Out Dance for local junior high students! To combat the winter "white-out" weather, parents of each school are planning for some warm in-door fun! Wear your white sneakers, clothes, and hats, etc. and prepare to dance the night away!
