We are excited to welcome Mr. Joseph Cochran to our Junior High team! He will serve as a 6th Grade Homeroom teacher, teaching 6th and 7th Grade Mathematics as well as 6th Grade Religion.
A proud graduate of Walsh University, Mr. Cochran is excited to bring an energizing and faith-filled presence to our school community. With experience both in the classroom and as a worship leader, he has a heart for ministry and a gift for building meaningful connections with students.
His passion for Catholic education, love for math and ministry, as well as an ability to connect with students will make him a wonderful addition to not just our junior high, but to our entire St. Barnabas community.

She has experience in both public and Catholic schools, and her background as a college athlete and youth sports coach reflects her strong leadership, collaborative spirit, and joyful heart for teaching. These qualities make her a wonderful fit for our Kindergarten team and school community.
Her thoughtful classroom approach, strong instructional presence, and natural ability to connect with young children make her a perfect fit for our St. Barnabas community.

We are thrilled to welcome Christie Fleming as our new Campus Minister at St. Barnabas! With a deep love for faith formation and a strong background in Catholic education and ministry, Mrs. Fleming brings both passion and experience to this vital role.
A proud graduate of Franciscan University, with a Master’s in Education from Bowling Green State University, Mrs. Fleming has served in a variety of ministry and educational settings. Her work has included classroom teaching, youth programming, retreat leadership, and faith formation for both students and staff. She is also trained in Theology of the Body and is passionate about helping others grow in their understanding of God's plan for love and life.
Mrs. Fleming brings a heart for service, a gift for building meaningful relationships, and a joyful spirit rooted in the Catholic faith. She will be a tremendous asset to our students, staff, and families as we grow together in our faith.

Due to the inclement weather the past two days, we have decided to postpone Field Day until Tuesday, May 27th. Homeroom teachers should have notified parents as to what color shirt students should wear for this event. Let the competitions begin! Please check the sign up as some spots may have become available for Tuesday.

Due to the chilly temperatures forecasted for this Friday, as well as early next week, we’ve decided to reschedule the Ignite Water Fight to ensure a more enjoyable experience for everyone. The new date will be Friday, August 29, following our all-school retreat next school year

If your child has medication at school, please pick it up on the last day of school, May 29. All medication that is not picked up will be held in the school office, and you may pick up during summer office hours. Thank you.
Each year, the St. Barnabas Parent Teacher Unit (PTU) proudly recognizes the outstanding dedication of our faculty through the Beverly Tabacco Excellence in Education Award. This special honor is named in memory of Beverly Tabacco, who devoted a significant part of her life to Catholic education and the formation of young minds.
This year’s recipient, Ms. Galmarini, may be new to teaching 8th grade at St. Barnabas, but her impact has been anything but small. From the very first day, she has brought energy, compassion, and commitment into her classroom and beyond. Whether greeting students each morning with a warm smile at the door or sacrificing her lunch breaks to assist with writing assignments, Ms. Galmarini has quickly become a beloved and trusted presence in our school community.
She truly embodies what it means to teach with heart, and we are incredibly grateful to have her as part of the St. Barnabas family. Congratulations, Ms. Galmarini, and thank you for all you do!

Mrs. Katie Schweninger has been named our new Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Student Achievement at St. Barnabas School! With 11 years of dedicated service as a teacher in our school, Mrs. Schweninger brings a deep understanding of our mission, students, and staff to this important leadership role.
Sherry Foss as our new Pre-K teacher at St. Barnabas! Mrs. Foss began her teaching career right here as a substitute teacher at St. Barnabas, and now returns with years of experience and a deep love for early childhood education.

Morning Drop Off Reminders: Please remember that carline drop-off ends at 8:00 AM as we begin our school day promptly. Arriving on time ensures a smooth and safe start for all our students. If you are using the South Lot, please make sure to walk your student through the crosswalk. This helps ensure the safety of all our students and families. Thank you for your cooperation!
Extended Day Registration - If your child(ren) plans to utilize our Extended Day or Little Blazer Care, please complete the Registration Form.
Extended Day for grades K-8 will open with regular hours of 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Little Blazer Extended Day will open with regular hours of 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Youth Choir Signup: The Barnabas Church Choir sings primarily at school Masses on Fridays at 8:30 am, but also for intermittent 10:30 am Masses. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays after school in the church. To sign up for the St. Barnabas Children's Choir choir, please fill out the form.

NEWS FROM OUR ST. BARNABAS ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

🏃♂️🏃♀️ St. Barnabas Track & Field wrapped up the season strong! Congratulations to ALL of our athletes who participated last weekend in the Districts Track Meet - special shoutout to these Blazers:
Our 7th Grade Girls team won the Sectional Championship, led by big performances from Sydney Frackelton (1st in 100m & 200m), Ellis Freeman (1st in 1600m, 2nd in 800m), Liberty Johnson (2nd in 100m & 400m), and Caroline Palace (1st in Standing Jump, 3rd in 400m). They also took 1st in the 4x100m relay!
💪 The 6th Grade Girls and Boys both finished 3rd overall at Sectionals. Standouts included:
Sophia Auck – 1st in Standing Jump
Robert Glidden – 1st in Long Jump, 2nd in 100m & 200m
Lydia Basch, Ava Ross, Niman Bajwa, Isaiah Zivich, and others also placed in the top 3 in multiple events!
👏 Shoutout to our 8th graders for individual accomplishments—especially Brennan O’Connell, who broke school records and placed 3rd in the 400m and 2nd in Standing Long Jump at the 8th Grade Championship! And Alexa Mirambeau qualified for Districts in the High Jump (2nd place, 4-06.00) and Standing Long Jump (2nd place, 7-01.25 PR). She continued her success at the Championship meet, placing 2nd in the High Jump.
Way to go, Blazers, on an incredible season! 💙💛

St. Barnabas is excited to launch School Safe ID, a new sign-in system to enhance safety, security, and efficiency for all visitors, late arrivals, and early dismissals.
The kiosk is now live in the school office. While it works without a license now, starting Monday, April 28, all visitors will be required to present a valid driver’s license to check in.

📱 You’ll be prompted to add a digital badge to your phone (optional)
🖨️ All visitors will receive a printed badge while in the building
This system also improves how we log student arrivals and dismissals, keeping our attendance records more secure.
