As a fun finale to the day, we’ll have our Ignite Water Fight — a student favorite! Please be sure your child comes dressed appropriately and brings a towel and a change of clothes (or something to stay dry after). Lists will be sent ot teachers.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) at St. Barnabas is happening July 7-11 from 9:30 AM - Noon! Open to children ages 4 and up, with volunteer opportunities available for grades 5 and older.

St. Barnabas School New Hires:
Director of Campus Ministry: A new full-time role that will focus on student faith formation, service learning, retreats, and spiritual development across all grades.
Coordinator of Educational Technology and Instruction: A new full-time position designed to support teachers in integrating technology into their instruction and ensuring our school remains current and effective in our use of digital tools.
Long-Term Substitute – 1st Grade/Building Substitute (2025–2026 School Year): This individual will step into a long-term sub role next year and continue to support classroom coverage needs across the building.
Pre-Kindergarten Teacher: A key early childhood position focused on creating a welcoming and enriching learning environment for our youngest students.
Junior High Math Teacher (Grades 6 & 7) & 6th Grade Religion/Homeroom: A vital role in our Junior High team, guiding students through critical math concepts while also serving as a homeroom teacher and faith leader for our sixth graders.

New Visitor Sign In: St. Barnabas is excited to launch School Safe ID, a new sign-in system to enhance safety, security, and efficiency for all visitors, late arrivals, and early dismissals. The kiosk is now live in the school office. While it works without a license now, starting Monday, April 28, all visitors will be required to present a valid driver’s license to check in. First-time users will scan their license, and then they’ll be prompted to add a digital badge to their phone (optional). All visitors will receive a printed badge while in the building. This system also improves how we log student arrivals and dismissals, keeping our attendance records more secure. Thanks for supporting this important update as we continue to keep St. Barnabas safe and welcoming!
State of the School Report: Please take a few moments to watch our State of the School update. It’s filled with great information about all that we’ve accomplished together this year—and an exciting look ahead at what’s to come next year!
Attention 7th Graders: It is time for you to start looking at local high schools! We encourage you to visit the websites of schools that interest you to note scheduled open houses, entrance exam dates, and shadow days. If you plan to visit during a school day, please let your homeroom teacher know, as well as the office, before your absence. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Morning Drop Off Reminders: Please remember that carline drop-off ends at 8:00 AM as we begin our school day promptly. Arriving on time ensures a smooth and safe start for all our students. If you are using the South Lot, please make sure to walk your student through the crosswalk. This helps ensure the safety of all our students and families. Thank you for your cooperation!

Youth Choir Signup: The Barnabas Church Choir sings primarily at school Masses on Fridays at 8:30 am, but also for intermittent 10:30 am Masses. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays after school in the church. To sign up for the St. Barnabas Children's Choir choir, please fill out the form.
Volunteer Opportunities: We are looking for volunteers to help assist in the Library this year. If you are interested, contact the Librarian, Mrs. Farinella, at laurenfarinella@barnabasohio.org. It's time for our annual Mother-Son event! Mark your calendars for a FREE DISCO-themed night of bowling 🎳on Friday 5/2/25 at Northwood Bowling Lanes. Wear your best 70's gear🕺☮️🌼✌️ and be prepared to make some groovy memories with your sons! Doors will open at 5:30, and we will bowl from 6p-8p.
PTU will cover the costs of shoe rental, bowling lanes, and provide light snacks. The bowling alley will have full service available.
