Spring Showcase

Join us on Wednesday, May 8 for the St. Barnabas Spring Showcase! See our amazing Show Choir perform, hear the Band Concert, and view the wonderful artwork from your own Blazers. Doors open at 6:00 PM and the spring band concert will begin at 6:30 PM in the Gym. Open House Art gallery walk will be open from 6:00 - 8:30.

Mr. Seislove will be at the Spring Showcase, so be sure to stop by and welcome him to the St. Barnabas family!

St. Barnabas Summer camp

Our Summer Extended Day program is a blast for students of all ages! Students participate in themed activities, arts and crafts projects, science and STEM experiments, fitness and sports challenges, field trips, and more!

Get ready, Blazers! Field Day will be Friday, May 24th from 11:30-2:30 this year (rain date is Tuesday, May 28th). Mrs. Majoros is looking for volunteers to help run the activity stations - Click here to sign up for Field Day. Contact Mrs. Majoros at dmajoros@barnabasohio.org with any questions. 

Memorial Day Parade 

Join Father James in the Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27.  The parade begins at 10:00 AM from St. Barnabas parking lot. Students interested in walking the parade should wear their yellow I Am St. Barnabas shirts. Parade participants should arrive at St. Barnabas no later than 9:15 AM.

Parish Picnic 

Join us for the Parish Picnic and enjoy live music, delicious food, kids activities, and fellowship! BYOB. This is a free event, however, we are selling raffle tickets to support the parish. Proceeds from this year’s Raffle will be supporting the cafeteria renovations.  The funds will be added to donations already made by parishioners from #weGiveCatholic.This year’s raffle will be held on Sunday, June 9, and features: Grand Prize - $10,000, First Prize - $2,500. Raffle ticket donations remain $5 per ticket or $25 for a book of 6 tickets. Click here to purchase. 

Turn in four (4) books of sold tickets at one time and get the fifth (5th) book free. The raffle drawing will be at noon at the Parish Picnic but (the winner need not be present).

Mrs. Faetanini Farewell Mass

Join us for Mrs. Faetanini's Farewell Mass on Sunday, June 2 at 10:30 AM.  A reception will be in the Learning Lodge following Mass and the Eucharistic Procession.  Cake and light refreshments will be available.

Message from the Clinic: If your child has medication at school, please pick it up on the last day of school, May 30th. All medication that is NOT picked up will be held in the school office and you may pick it up during summer office hours. Thank you. 


Staff Announcements:

JH Teacher: Mrs. Andrea Scullion will be the JH History teacher for grades 6-8 next year. Mrs. Scullion holds a BS in Social Studies for grades 7-12 and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Dayton University. She has worked at St. Barnabas as an instructional aide and substitute teacher for the last 2 years and Mrs. Scullion is the assistant coach for our Science Olympiad team. The Scullion family are members of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and both of her daughters graduated from St. Barnabas School. 

2nd Grade Teacher: Miss Katie Clancy will be the new 2nd grade teacher for the 3rd classroom next year. Katie has her BSE from Walsh University in Early Childhood Education. She has been a 2nd-grade teacher for the last 3 years at St. Francis of Assisi School. Katie is also a graduate of St. Barnabas and a member of St. Barnabas Parish.

Art Club:  Grades 3-5 Wednesdays until 4 p.m. May 15 & 29

Grades 6-8 Mondays until 4 p.m. April 15 & 29, May 6 & 20


Youth Choir: The Saint Dominic Savio Children’s Choir (3rd-8th grade) sings primarily at school Masses on Fridays at 8:30am and also for intermittent 10:30 am Masses. This group sings modern worship songs, traditional hymns, chants, and other songs of praise. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays after school in the church. St. Barnabas has the best teachers and the PTU will be celebrating them all next week!  To add to the fun, have your child make a card or a special picture to thank their amazing teacher!
