In partnership with our parish community, St. Barnabas School strives to deliver a first-class Catholic education that combines rigorous academics with spiritual development, guiding students on the path of Christ to become knowledgeable, moral, and compassionate servant leaders.
In our continued effort to raise money for fun (and often FREE) events and activities at St. Barnabas School throughout the year, we periodically ask people to volunteer. This *bonus* night was offered to our school by the Cleveland Monsters and is a great opportunity to raise money without asking our own families to donate.
We are looking for 20 adults (18 or older) who can help us sell 50/50 raffle tickets - your cute kids dressed in sports or school uniforms are welcome and encouraged to come! JH students can earn volunteer hours (sign-up must include an adult responsible for them)
Arrival time: 5:15-5:30 (quick training on how to operate credit card machine)
Doors open @ 6p, game @7p
We sell raffle tickets through the 2nd intermission, after that you are welcome to enjoy the rest of the game or head home (though you will be able to catch the entire game as you walk around too!)
Thank you for your willingness to help out with this fundraiser and for helping to make St. Barnabas not only a great place to learn but also a fun place to be!
Let us fall into the spirit of giving with Saint Vincent de Paul's November Food Drive! Please join our community here at Saint Barnabas in making donations to this cause that will run from November 1st to November 15th.
Flyers are posted with the requested food items for each grade; however, students are not limited to their grade level's recommended food item. Food items should be dropped off in the breezeway to be collected by our Student Council. Please check food items' expiration dates before donating. We look forward to what we can do when we come together, as small donations from each family can make a big difference as a community. 🎃 Student Council will once again be hosting a Trunk or Treat for the students on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. Please join the fun and view the costumes of our children as they parade past your car. Participants should be prepared for 500 trunk-or-treating goblins.
Adding a new twist to this tradition, Student Council is holding a car decoration contest. While not mandatory, if you wish to decorate your car, our officers will be judging at 1:15 PM. What’s the prize you ask? Bragging rights for an entire year that YOUR family placed first in the Trunk-or-Treat car decorating contest!
To reserve a spot, please send a monetary donation in an envelope with your last name on it marked “Student Council Trunk or Treat.” Help support the Student Council and be a part of our Halloween celebration; it promises to be a hauntingly good time!

Ladies, join us for our fall retreat. This year you’ll hear from Lindsay Fullerman and Keynote Speaker Emily Stimpson Chapman who is a well-known Catholic author and speaker. You'll also hear witness talks from parishioners Lauren Fullerman and Joanne Post. Our theme is: Captivated - Love, Community, and Thanksgiving. It will be a beautiful day of community, fun, reflection and prayer. We encourage women age 18 and older to join us. There is no cost to register. We are once again making a Veterans Day video to honor all the servicemen and women who protect the United States of America. If you have a family member who is a veteran, or currently serves in the armed forces, please send their picture to veteransday@barnabasohio.org. Please list their name, the branch of the armed services in which he/she served, and their connection to our St. Barnabas family. *If you have previously submitted a photo for the previous year's video, and would like to keep your Veteran, please email us to confirm with the Veteran's name and your student's name.
Veterans Day video has become a tradition here at St. Barnabas School. We can think of no better way to honor the brave men and women who valiantly fought for the freedoms we hold dear!

Dress Code Reminders: Winter uniforms begin on Monday, 10/28. This means pants are required for all school days and students in grades 4-8 are required to wear dress uniform (Mass uniform) on Fridays. See the email sent from Mr. Seislove earlier this month or our full Uniform Policy for more information.
Parent/Teacher Conference Sign Ups: We will be using FACTS this year to schedule for parent/teacher conferences. Look for an email early next week to schedule time for your conference(s). Conferences will take place on Wednesday 11/6 after school and on Thursday 11/7 in the morning.
Message From Clinic: As cold and flu season approaches, this is a reminder to please keep your children home if they are not feeling well. This is important to stop the spread of illnesses. Students must be fever and symptom free for 24 hours before returning to school and after school activities. We will be starting our vision and hearing screening for required grades. Extended Day Registration - If your child(ren) plans to utilize our Extended Day or Little Blazer Care, please complete the Registration Form before the first day of school.
Extended Day for grades K-8 will open with regular hours of 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Little Blazer Extended Day will open with regular hours of 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Youth Choir Signup: The Barnabas Church Choir sings primarily at school Masses on Fridays at 8:30 am, but also for intermittent 10:30 am Masses. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays after school in the church. To sign up for the St. Barnabas Children's Choir choir, please fill out the form.

Grandparent's Club: New this year! St. Barnabas School is launching a Grandparent's Club! There will be volunteer opportunities, events and fun ways to get involved in their grandchildren’s school. We are looking for committee members if you know a grandparent or special person who would like to be involved, please contact Mr. Seislove or Mrs. Skelin.
