Yes, Lincoln Tech does provide accommodations to students with disabilities.
Lincoln Tech can provide accommodations that do not alter the course. Examples of these include extra time on tests or alternative formats of materials.
When initially applying, students will request specific accommodations they think they will need for each course. The student will also coordinate with Lincoln Tech staff to decide the best accommodations to fit the student and to figure out how to implement these accommodations into the specific course.
If a student begins taking a class and realizes that they are needing more accommodations, they are always welcome to discuss this with Lincoln Tech staff to add new accommodations if necessary.
Lincoln Tech staff will communicate with professors on behalf of the student as to what accommodations they have.
As long as the accommodations do not alter the goal of the course, the professors should be compliant in providing the specific accommodations for the student.
Students can also appeal accommodations if they are not being provided.
