WRaP is a vocational training camp for students and young adults with autism that teaches them job skills through a robotics and computer programming summer camp at Currey Ingram Academy. To learn more about what their program entails, please see the frequently asked questions answered below.
Program Information
The WRaP program is a 3-week long camp throughout the month of June.
The hours of the camp are Monday through Friday 9am-3pm.
Throughout the three week camp, individuals will gain valuable vocational skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem resolution.
In each of the three weeks, participants will be given projects focusing on robotics, coding, and building. At the end of each week, they will present their projects. These projects will involve interacting in a team environment, along with following specific project rules, working to trouble shoot problems that arise, and innovate project ideas.
There will also be pre and post assessments for each student to see their progression throughout the camp.
No, the camp's main goal is to teach campers employable skills for a future job, but they do not help individuals acquire a job upon finishing the camp.

The WRaP program may be a good fit for you if:
You have an interest in coding, robotics, and/or computers
You want to gain employable skills while in a fun and comfortable setting
You want to gain these skills while still in high school or within the first couple years of graduating
To qualify for the WRaP program, you have to be:
Between the ages of 15 and 20
Diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder

Once an application is submitted, you will be invited to an interview to make sure the camp is a right fit.
Applications are accepted up until the beginning of the camp, but if the spots fill up prior to the start of the camp, the application process may close earlier.
It is recommended to apply by the end of May.
The camp accepts around 8 campers each year.
The tuition is $2,000 paid in monthly installments.
There is a 25% deposit due at the time of acceptance.
The first 25% is due starting March 1st and ending on May 1st before the start of the program.
Lunch can be included for an additional fee.
There is an opportunity to apply for financial aid, but it is not guaranteed.
