Chair letter markers are a multi-format tool that I developed to wrangle large groups of players that turn over quickly. I developed this for use at large conventions where 15+ player games are run one after another. The letters help players identify strangers across the circle if they can't reads their nametag or temporarily forget their fellow players' names or pronouns. the letters also help the Storyteller identify "chairs" during the night phase and point them out to players who need a reminder.
Seats are letters A through O inclusive alphabetically with purple lettering. Travelers are handled with T1-T5 in gold lettering.
The genesis of this idea came from observing Darquon from Capital Clocktower. His home-made Grimoire used a very clever lettering system to manage large groups of players. I combined this with tools I used for work to make committee member table tents and practice from developing in-Grimoire tokens.
I don't use these much as all. These take time to pull out, organize, and set up. In praxis, these tools work best if there is enough time and space to deploy them. If you and your venue has the luxury of time, it may be easier just to have the players learn each other's names. This tool is room-to-room, game-to-game dependent.

These are printed on 110 lb card stock and self-adhesive felt has been applied to the back so they stick to the grim. I printed two sets of small numbers for each half of the Grimoire.

This was printed on 110 lb card stock, trimmed, and hot laminated with a thick dry erase marker lamination pouch. There's a cluster of self-adhesive felt across the top to help it stick inside of the Grim. I inisually made a full side sheet and attached it to a clip board, then I decided it would be more efficent to scale it down so it fits in the grim.
