June 1979: Company established by 2 ex-Royal Navy pilots and owner of Castle Motors to run a commercial operation from Liskeard, Cornwall
14/01/1997: Company name changed to Castle Air Charters Ltd
11/02/2011: Name changed to Castle Air Ltd
December 2013: Company establish operations at Biggin Hill, in addition to that in Cornwall
June 2016: Company acquire Bristow Academy UK, and combine training capabilities, the facilities and instructors to form the largest pilot training school in the UK
Castle Air operates and maintains AW139, AW169, AW109 and H145 helicopters for the provision of Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), VIP Charter, Aerial Surveillance, Passenger Transport and Training services. In addition, Castle Air sells helicopters and helicopter parts, with one of the largest stocks of AW109 helicopters and parts available for worldwide sales, and is an approved Leonardo Service Centre. Gloucestershire Airport is utilised for training and maintenance.
