Having a healthy mental and physical well-being during an exam is important. This helps in maintaining one’s productivity. It is also the best way to overcome stress and anxiety.
With that being said, here are five tips on how to keep your mind relax and focus during exam:
Plan and Know Your Priorities: make sure you have realistic schedule. Don’t take everything all at once, break down your study materials into manageable pieces.
Take a Rest: follow the 50/10 rule: 50 minutes study, 10 minutes rest. Let your brain pause for a while to avoid tiredness that will ruin your focus.
Be Active Physically: mind and body are strongly attached with one another. Aside from reading, let your self relax for a bit. This can be in the form of walking, jogging, or any other physical activity that will help you in keeping your self away from any stress.
Get Enough Sleep: a study conducted in Massachusetts Institute of Technology showed the strong correlation between sleep and scores/ grades. According to it, “better quality, longer duration, and greater consistency of sleep correlated with better grades”.
Ask for Help: if you need anything, don’t hesitate to call for someone you trust. Let your self learn from others to avoid struggling.
