All non-combative ASYNC employees are required to have a combative escort when entering into The Backrooms, unless stated otherwise.

When authorized to be by an authoritative figure, certain expeditions (and similar events) may explore for longer and further than the usual amount.

Employees ranked Intern or above may go up to the red barricades within The Backrooms, but no further under any circumstances.
Employees ranked Staff or above may only travel up to the beacon within The Backrooms while being escorted by at least 1 Security personnel.
Employees ranked Executive or above may travel anywhere within the backrooms, as long as there is at least 1 Security escort with them.
Employees ranked Department Head or above are exempt from these rules.
Certain departments will allow their employees to enter The Backrooms under various certain circumstances (refer to guidelines).

Engineering & Logistics (E&L) employees must always be wearing a hazmat suit when in The Backrooms. This rule is voided if they are behind the red barricade and/or ranked Project Manager or above.
All authorized E&L employees are allowed up to the beacon within The Backrooms without an escort.
All authorized E&L employees must have a Security escort (or the Department Head) with them when entering The Backrooms beyond the beacon.
The Department Head is exempt from needing a Security escort.
Rank requirements, special circumstances and such will be mentioned within the department guidelines.

Research & Initiative (R&I) employees must always be wearing a hazmat suit when in The Backrooms. This rule is voided if they are behind the red barricade and/or ranked Head Researcher or above.
When hosting an expedition, there must be a sufficient amount of Security escorts.
All authorized R&I employees are allowed up to the beacon within The Backrooms without an escort.
All authorized R&I employees must have a Security escort (or the Department Head) with them when entering The Backrooms beyond the beacon.
The Department Head is exempt from needing a Security escort (when not hosting an expedition).
Rank requirements, special circumstances and such will be mentioned within the department guidelines.

Security & Intervention (S&I) employees must always be wearing a hazmat suit when in The Backrooms. This rule is voided if they are behind the red barricade and/or ranked Sector Overseer or above.
All S&I employees are allowed to escort an expedition anywhere in The Backrooms.
All S&I employees are allowed to escort personnel anywhere in The Backrooms.
Only certain authorized ranks within S&I are allowed to enter The Backrooms whenever.
Rank requirements, special circumstances and such will be mentioned within the department guidelines.

Management & Law (M&L) employees must always be wearing a hazmat suit when in The Backrooms (as soon as the game allows it, since currently they can not equip them). This rule is voided if they are behind the red barricade and/or ranked Division Deputy or above.
Only certain authorized ranks within M&L are allowed to enter The Backrooms past the beacon whenever, but most employees will need a Security escort (or the Department Head).
The Department Head is exempt from needing a Security escort.

Large security escorts are required for every expedition, incursion, or access to unsafe levels of The Backrooms.

Pretending that you are about to cross a boundary into an area where you are not authorized to be in and then backing off (baiting) is prohibited.
