Language Features of Analytical Exposition Text
Apart from structure, you also have to know about language rules or language features in writing analytical exposition text. The language rules are as follows:
Writing analytical exposition text using simple present tense.
Using words that express the author's thoughts or feelings, for example: experience, feel, know, realize, sense, think, etc.
Using connective words, namely connecting words. The use of connective words aims to connect ideas, be it phrases, clauses, sentences, or paragraphs.
Connective words have many functions. The 3 functions of the conjunctions most often used in analytical exposition text are:
Adding information, namely adding information. Examples include and, moreover, in addition, and also.
Contrasting information, namely contrasting something. Examples include but, however, and even though.
Casuality, namely showing causation. Examples are because, therefore, thus, accordingly, despite, due to, for that reason, etc.
