Profile
Overview:
The Profile tool in Architron 2023 allows for the extrusion of profiles from either a 1D or 2D shape along a predefined rail path. This path is determined by the parent object, which can be selected edges of a polygon object, a Cinema 4D spline object, or selected segments of a NURBS object.
Defining the Profile Shape:
Users can define the profile's shape through a child object or directly within the tool's parameters. The child object may be a Cinema 4D spline or a NURBS curve object, offering flexibility in design.
Key Parameters:
Object:
Rail Detail: Sets the detail resolution of the rail curve.
Shape 2D Detail: Determines the detail resolution of the 2D shape used for the profile.
Phong Options: Adjusts the Phong shading options to affect the smoothness of the final 3D object's surface.
Align Profile To Rail: Aligns the profile shape with the direction of the rail curve for a coherent flow.
Align Profile To Ground: Ensures the profile shape is perpendicular to a specified plane for consistent grounding.
Object Plane: Specifies the reference plane for the 'Align Profile To Ground' alignment.
Cap Ends: Adds caps to the ends of the profile if the rail curve is open.
Shape 2D:
Size: Defines the dimensions of the profile when using rectangle or circle shapes.
Pivot: Sets the reference point on the 2D shape that dictates the railing path's position.
Radius Start-End: Allows for a custom radius to be set at the start and end points of the profile.
Angle Start-End: Sets a custom angle for the profile at the beginning and end of the rail path.
