Walls
The Walls tool in Architron is engineered to generate walls from a floorplan. It can produce both 2D curves and 3D wall surfaces, depending on the needs of the project.
The parent floorplan can be a NURBS object, a Cinema 4D spline, or even another wall or floor object.
This capability ensures that walls can be created, modified, and integrated with ease, providing a seamless experience when building the architectural structure of a model.
Key Parameters:
Object
Output Geometry: Switch between "Curves" for 2D outlines and "Surfaces" for 3D wall structures.
NURBS Detail: Adjusts the level of detail in the NURBS geometry, with higher values yielding more precision.
Enable Phong: Toggles Phong shading to give the wall surface a smoother look.
Angle Limit & Phong Angle: Defines the smoothing angle threshold for the Phong shading effect.
Ground Axis: Establishes the ground axis orientation for the walls, automatically aligning with the parent object if available.
Walls
Parent Floor-plan: Specifies the type of floorplan to extract from the parent ArchViz parametric object for wall generation.
Outline Type: Determines whether the wall outline is placed outside ("Out"), inside ("In"), or both ("Out-In") relative to the parent floorplan.
Out Width & In Width: Sets the thickness of the wall's outer and inner sides, providing control over the wall's overall width.
Height: Specifies the vertical extent of the wall, defining how tall the walls will be.
NEW FLOOR-PLAN Options:
Outline Top & Bottom / Inline Top & Bottom / Source Top & Bottom:
These settings are used to create a new floorplan object based on the specified criteria. Selecting "Outline" or "Inline" along with "Top" or "Bottom" determines the positioning and type of the new floorplan that is generated from the parent object. This newly created floorplan object can then be used as a starting point for additional architectural elements, enhancing the multi-level planning capabilities within Architron.
