Floor
The Floor object is a tool designed to construct 2D or 3D floor structures directly from a parent floorplan.
This enables the rapid creation of architectural spaces within a project.
The Floor object is compatible with a variety of input objects including NURBS objects, spline objects, wall objects, or even another Floor object, providing a flexible base for generating the floors of a building.
Key Parameters:
Object
NURBS Detail: Determines the resolution of the NURBS surface, with a higher value resulting in a more detailed mesh.
Enable Phong: Toggles Phong shading to give the wall surface a smoother look.
Angle Limit & Phong Angle: Defines the smoothing angle threshold for the Phong shading effect.
Ground Axis: Sets the orientation of the ground floor within the 3D space, automatically matching the ground axis if it's predefined by the parent object.
Floor
Level: Choose between "Floor" to generate the base of a room, or "Ceiling" to create the upper boundary, enhancing the versatility in constructing interior spaces.
Outline Type: Allows for an "Outline" or "Inline" configuration, adjusting how the floor's perimeter is shaped.
Offset: Modify the distance from the floorplan's perimeter for both the outer boundary and interior room divisions, allowing for precise edge customization.
Depth: Determine the vertical thickness of the floor or ceiling. Positive values extend upwards from the plane, while negative values expand downwards, offering control over the elevation and depression of the floor surfaces.
NEW FLOOR-PLAN
Outline Top & Outline Bottom: These buttons will generate a new, distinct floor plan object. This object serves as a new template that allows you to start another hierarchy of parametric objects.
