As I was explaining in the previous paragraph, I have been able to build on my skills to go farther than I ever thought I could. I had the opportunity to create the official branding kit for the use of the DMM students. I drew inspiration from Trey who works on the Under Armour team. The main change and growth from last year is my shift in future career planning. I went from doing DMM I and really liking it but not knowing where to go with it in the future. I always thought I would end up doing interior design which was an old passion of mine and I had skill in. But the skill that I had in DMM was much more than interior design. With the help of my mom, dad, and aunt, we switched gears and started looking at what I could do in the future relating to things I am currently doing in DMM. We found that there was much more of a need for Social Media Managers and Digital Media creators in the future than there were for interior designers. So we switched to Social Media and Digital Media Marketing for my future. Since this is such a new career field that is so specific, a 4 year college wasn't going to help me get into the field faster. I found a 2 year college in Lacrosse, Western Technical College, that I will be attending. It has great Digital Media associates that I will be able to learn more of the business side of Digital Media while working and creating new skills. I am really excited to see where I can go from here and I am really appreciative that we have these types of classes as MHS in order to show kids what their futures could possibly be.
