Lactation

Chestfeeding During a Pandemic

Before Covid-19 alienated everyone from pretty much everything, new parents already struggled with receiving enough support and feeling alienated while learning to tango with their newborn

One of the biggest struggles for new parents, is painful Chestfeeding, and believe it or not, positioning of the baby and latch are at the heart of most issues presented to people who consult around lactation and baby feeding!

So why do I call it chest feeding?

Everyone that feeds their baby from their body has a chest, not everyone is a woman with breasts. I'm here to help everyone with their struggles, no matter your gender or sex!

Things I discuss most with new parents are the various holds that offer more control over baby's head, co sleeping, latch, and diet

When you contact me, we might also talk about pumping, lip and tongue ties, inverted nipples, thrush, going back to work, and anything else that is weighing on your heart, making it difficult to connect and bond with your baby

Some folks I've helped supplement with formula, others decide that breastfeeding does not work for them for a variety of reasons.

Ultimately, your child getting nutrients in their bodies and growing is the goal!
