The Host would now be T.O.M. 1 (Sonny Strait) running Toonami
Transmissions into the new millennium with the Toonami the Rising Sun
(2000-2001) from 9:00am-12:00pm, late night block The Midnight Run
that ran uncut versions for older audiences. Even though it was late at
night and far pass kids bedtime there would be many who would stay
awake to see the uncut versions of shows and movies not shown during
the normal day-hours.
AI Matrix character Sara (Sally Timms) who was a companion to T.O.M. 1
notifies him there is an intruder. They investigate and find a damaged
ships hole and what got in the ship doesn't show up on the radar, so
T.O.M. 1 goes in the ships engine area to do some recon. He finds out
there is a red blob that is eating through the ship and growing larger.
Total Immersion Events (TIE) were interactive events on the Toonami.com
website where people could play games and then see the lore of
Toonami at the same time. This was great for ratings and made kids
feel like they were a part of the story.
The villain the Intruder Alien Blob would encounter T.O.M. 1 with a
Ray Gun that had many settings. He went to find the blob and shot it on
several different settings, but it didn't affect the blob at all. He runs for
the elevator with the blob chasing after him and the blob fills up the
elevator and ends up ending T.O.M. 1. (Sonny Strait).
