The Unwanteds Quests

Fifer Stowe has been taken back to Artimé and is recovering from her time on Grimmere. Thisbe Stowe has been taken captive by the Revinir (Queen Eagala returned). She is forced to drag dragon bones around a crypt, and the Revinir is using their powers to become a dragon herself. Meanwhile, Alex mounts a rescue mission for Thisbe, and Fifer is desperate to help.

This book out of all the Unwanteds Quests books I've read so far, is my favorite, because you see a lot of the Revinir. I tend to realize that the villains are more interesting than the heroes in a story, and that is true for the Unwanteds Quests. It's gruesome what the Revinir is doing, but also interesting to see how her character changes, and whether there might be any hope for her left. I also like reading about Thisbe and her plans for escape at the end. Something very sad happens at the end of the book, but I won't tell.
