Book 4 in the Harry Potter series focuses on the Triwizard Tournament, which is where 3 wizarding schools compete in a competition through a series of 3 challenges. The impartial judge: the Goblet of Fire, chooses 3 champions for the tournament, and then spits out a fourth name: Harry Potter. Harry is forced to compete in a tournament that he is too young for, and he suspects that whoever put his name in the goblet is trying to get him killed. Meanwhile, Lord Voldemort is almost rising again, and Harry in the Triwizard Tournament is the final step to his plan to regain power.
This is one of the more memorable books in the Harry Potter series because there are so many new characters and friends introduced, including the beautiful Fleur and the hard-headed Quidditch champion Viktor Krum. You learn more about Voldemort's followers as well.
The middle part of this book is not that interesting, in my opinion. That is because there is not much focusing directly on Harry, the hero of the story, but rather the general idea of the events that occur at that time, such as preparing for the Yule Ball.
But I liked this book for its great parts of action and adventure, and while the end is bad for Harry, it causes you to speculate about what will happen next.
In Book 6 in the Harry Potter series, everyone finally knows that Lord Voldemort is back, and there are countless arrests and murders that have been happening, both by the Ministry and by the Death Eaters. But still, life somehow goes on, and the focus of everyone at Hogwarts is finding someone to go out with, including Harry. Meanwhile, Dumbledore is giving Harry private lessons about Lord Voldemort, and they are searching for what may be the key to defeating him. And most of all, Draco Malfoy is up to no good-and this time, the results may be serious.
This is my personal favorite of all of the Harry Potter books-because it has a balance. The balance is between regular life at Hogwarts and Harry vs. Lord Voldemort. The other books don't manage to do that, because 80% of the book takes place at Hogwarts. That is the same for this book, but Harry is learning about Lord Voldemort at Hogwarts. And with that, I also like this book 'cause you learn a lot about Voldemort before he became super evil.
The ending is super sad (No spoilers!) but like many of the other books, it is a necessary addition to the intricate and awesome plot of Harry Potter.
