What if you could live forever? Is that a gift, or a curse? To the Tucks, who drank from a magical spring that grants eternal life and youth, they want nothing more than to lie down and die. But they can't. And if anyone found out the Tuck's secret, they would all want to be immortal-which can't happen. But then Winnie Foster finds out about the Tucks, and falls in love with "young" Jesse Tuck, and must make a choice on whether to join the Tucks in their never-ending story.
This book really is emotional. At the end, Winnie's choice....wow. (No spoilers!) I like this book really much because it is artfully and carefully told, and the author also uses a lot of metaphors at the beginning, making you really imagine the setting. The book, in summary, is about living the unlived life, and not being afraid of death (can't explain without revealing the end). All I can say is that Tuck Everlasting really opened my heart.
