Creating Outdoor Games Spaces in Aberdour

The project
The group would like to create new opportunities for outdoor play and socialising in Aberdour by helping to fund the installation of outdoor games tables.
The proposal includes two or more outdoor table tennis tables, along with outdoor chess and backgammon tables. Possible locations include Shore Road Park and the area above Black Sands.
The project aims to create places where people can play, meet and have conversations, helping to encourage social connection within the community.
The original proposal identified a significant cost for the equipment and recognised that additional funding and suitable locations would need to be secured.
Following the community vote at Aberdour SOUP, the project was awarded £564 towards the proposal.

The proposal for Outdoor Games project was submitted for consideration at Aberdour SOUP – The Big Community Pitch, where a member of the CAP group presented it to the public.
The proposal included examples of the type of outdoor tables being considered.
What Happens Next?
What Happens Next?
The original proposal anticipated that the project could be delivered within six months, subject to securing additional funding and suitable locations.
The project team will now explore funding opportunities and work towards identifying appropriate locations for the equipment.
