Improving and Promoting Aberdour’s Countryside Paths
Awarded: £1,409.50
The project
The project
ACAN Trailblazers are working to improve and promote the network of paths and routes in the countryside around Aberdour.
The project will help residents and visitors discover and enjoy local walks by producing a leaflet of walks from the village, purchasing equipment to help keep paths clear, and working with Fife Coast and Countryside Trust (FCCT) on footpath signs.
The work will also help build awareness of the countryside around Aberdour and encourage more people to make use of the local path network.

What Happens Next?
The project was originally proposed with an estimated budget of £1,800. Following the community vote at Aberdour SOUP, the project was awarded £1,409.50.
The Trailblazers team will decide how best to use the funding to support the project. The leaflet is planned for production during 2026, while equipment will be purchased as soon as possible. Path maintenance will be ongoing and will rely on dedicated, trained volunteers.
