An incredible ocean planet where the Cursed Fish and many other aquatic animals call home. Colorful scenery, impressive landmarks, and the quaint town of Glimmergrove Haven, where most stories on this planet take place.
Each Fish has unique quirks and special powers inspired by the Cursed levels.
1-X: A Dance of Fire and Ice "But some rhythm patterns may switch to other songs"
DJ Tidal Wave (Might go by Tidal casually or T.W.)
A DJ with talents in rhythm remixing to entertain others
Different rhythm patterns = music samples
Good at noticing rhythms or patterns that others may overlook
Energetic, easily distracted, and maybe a bit chaotic
2-X: Offbeats "But every offbeats will increase your BPM"
Swift Current (Goes by Swift)
Speedster Fish who can “enter a hyper-focused speed burst state”.
Able to adapt well to unexpected or off-rhythm situations
Eager and impatient, but also dedicated and quick-thinking
Could be a mail courier
3-X: THE WIND-UP "But there is no rhythm greater than one beat"
Mono Bassline (Goes by Mono)
Doesn't overexaggerate or overreact
Keeps everything efficient and simple, but might result in them being emotionally quiet and no-nonsense
Could be a sculptor or minimalist composer
4-X: Love Letters "But there is only one rhythm here"
Endless Echo (Goes by Echo)
Thrives with repetition and routine; doesn’t like change and unexpectedness
Others might find them boring, but admire their planning skills and perseverance
Might get stuck in behavioral loops until snapped out of it (probably has a hard time breaking bad habits)
“Calm, obsessive, rhythmic perfectionist”
Could be a meditation guide or professional planner
5-X: The Midnight Train "But it maintains a constant speed in another way"
Ironwake
Could be a train conductor
Tenacious; might ignore things like obstacles or curves, preferring to go straight ahead instead of finding a way around. This also might apply metaphorically, where they barrel straight through problems instead of finding a workaround.
Others might admire their determination, but are also wary of how they solve problems.
Predictable; hates surprises
6-X: PULSE "But the rhythm of less than one beat has become a midspin"
Ripple Wave (Goes by Ripple)
Less than one beat = small problems → midspin = momentum & flow; odd solutions
“Spin small stressors into something active, dynamic, or even beautiful”
Could be an abstract artist or freestyle dancer/swimmer
7-X: Spin 2 Win "But set speed and twirl exchange"
Whirlpool (But some people call them Eddy)
Often speeds off in excitement, causing loose things around them to comically spin in place for a moment
Unpredictable, chaotic, “full of kinetic energy but rarely in control”
Could be an acrobat or performer
Might be friends with Swift, since they’re both speedy and energetic
8-X: Jungle City "But closed figure is midspin"
Tide Breaker (Goes by Tide)
Shapes = big things → midspin = momentum & flow; odd solutions
“Big, structured tasks or patterns confuse or frustrate them, so they improvise, simplify, or detour”
Creative nonconformist; likes breaking the loop
9-X: Classic Pursuit "But assuming θ is the current angle, and if not(θ/90 in [1, 2, 3, 4]): θ = 360˚" (Certain tiles are u-turns)
Cosmic Abyss (Goes by Coz)
Very indecisive; quick to switch between ideas on the spot
Their indecisiveness also makes them prone to panicking
Could be a mechanic; they seem to have made some sort of "UFO" in the Cursed level
Probably obsessed with all sorts of media, but flip-flops between hyperfixations all the time. The only fixation that's stuck is space and what lies beyond their planet. (Perhaps they find exploring the deep ocean very similar.)
10-X: Butterfly Planet "But there is all hexagon" (Octagonal to hexagonal)
Zen Lotus (Goes by Zen casually)
Good at simplifying problems and helping others calm down
*Could be a sort of gardener in charge of an underwater fusion between a bee and a butterfly (combining hexagons & butterfly planet)
Maybe they're in charge of a zen garden where other creatures go to destress and relax
11-X: Heracles "But hexagon*2"
Loop D. Loop (Goes by Loop, but occasionally gets called "Loopy" as a mean nickname)
A fish that often gets jerked/snapped back to reality, prone to odd cases of Dèjá vu. They live through scenarios in their head, then get confused when they seemingly re-live the exact same scenarios later on
Sometimes their quirk actually pulls them back a few spaces, like physical Dèjá vu rather than mental, forcing them to re-swim the same area more than once
These traits probably cost them their job, and because of this and their stressful quirk, they hang out in Zen's garden to help out and relax
12-X: Artificial Chariot "But its short (antonym is tall)"
Mini Minnow (Goes by Mini, but is looking for a less belittling nickname)
Slightly smaller than average for their species/age, and others often tease them for this
Their size allows them to enter small spaces without problem; might also be able to alter their size to fit in even smaller spaces
They sometimes help Coz with their hyperfixations, as they also enjoy machines and building things
XC-X: Credits: "But the number of edges of each closed figure must belong to 2N+1 (N∈ ℤ)"
???
???
XF-X: Third Wave Flip Flop: "But the specified beat has a multitaps"
???
???
PA-X: Distance "But there is another midspin opposite midspin"
(Adds two midspins: one on the opposite side as the original, and one on the same side as the original to get the track the right way.)
???
???
RJ-X: Fear Grows "But the nth multitap requires pressing n-2 buttons"
???
??? {Given the thumbnail of the video, makes me think this fish is a mathematician/teacher of sorts}
