Vic’s childhood friend, who was roped into playing the hero to their villainous escapades. He still finds this weird, but he’ll go along with it to make sure they don’t do anything stupid. What starts as harmless roleplay takes a wild turn when Vic reveals they’ve ‘stumbled upon’ a cursed piece of sheet music – after giving it a go together, they unlock some seriously real powers! Now there’s some weight to their normally mild interactions, and it’s his responsibility to keep both of their abilities in check. (Well, at least the outfit’s cool.)
Tries to be cool, but easily flustered
Charismatic
Calm/chill
Voice of reason
Resourceful
Likes:
Hanging out with friends in comfortable silence
Stargazing/spending time outside at night
Cosplaying as Nocturne (makes him feel cool and powerful)
Trickshots
Dislikes:
Mannequins/wax figures
Being startled & losing focus
Small amphibians or bugs
Not being taken serious
Fun Facts:
Acts as the voice of reason to Vic’s escapades.
Often uses sarcasm when talking with Vic; they’re both very casual when it’s just the two of them.
More scientific than Vic, always looking for the logical explanation.
Unlike Vic, he’s not as confident in being a superhero as Vic is in being a supervillain, but they rehearse in their shared hideout before going public.
Tries not to laugh in front of others; (what if he laughs at something stupid?), but is very casual when it’s just him and Vic.
The Arrows act as projectiles that have special, often motion based effects on things they hit.
1-X: A Dance of Fire and Ice "But There Is A U-Turn Every 90 Degree Angle"
Turnaround Arrow: Sharply turns the target 180˚, but only if the target is in motion.
2-X: Offbeats "But the horizontal line gets longer by 1"
Stretch Arrow: Either elongates terrain formations (eg. for puzzle solving), or stretches out timing without reducing speed (eg. making a dash attack last longer, but also carry further.)
3-X: THE WIND-UP "But There Are No Closed Angles. Just Reflex Angles"
Reflex Arrow: Subtly disrupts the target’s perception and reaction time, “leaving them vulnerable to attacks they saw coming but couldn’t respond to in time.”
4-X: Love Letters "But The Ratio Is 2/2"
Jumpcut Arrow: Makes it so “the next one or two planned actions happen instantly and simultaneously”, removing transitions and messing with people’s timing.
5-X: The Midnight Train "But Every Small Slanted Tile Are Switched"
Skew Arrow: An arrow that affects the terrain, skewing slope angles to dissorient or potentially solve puzzles.
6-X: PULSE "But Its FAST!!"
Overdrive Arrow: “Doubles the affected enemy or object’s speed” (but not their reaction time, so this speed could be a detriment if they’re not prepared for it.)
7-X: Spin 2 Win "But Its Only The Square Making The Reflex Beat"
Anchor Arrow: Similar to Hexabind (Honeydew's 1-X ability), locks targets’ movement strictly to cardinal directions (North, South, East, West.)
8-X: Jungle City "But The Level Is Super Short"
Shrink Arrow: Temporarily either compresses/shortens terrain aspects or comically shrinks opponents.
10-X: Butterfly Planet "But It Is Super Slow"
Lagtime Arrow: Halves the affected enemy or object’s speed.
11-X: Heracles "But The Repeated Parts Keep The Same Music"
Loopback Arrow: Forces the target to repeat their previous movements in a fixed loop until brought out of it or until it wears off.
12-X: Artificial Chariot "But Its Reverse"
Reverse Arrow: “Reverses target momentum or directional flow” (as opposed to temporarily reversing time for the target. May be hard to hit a moving target.)
XC-X: Credits "But I Like The Crumbling Box Part"
Collapse Arrow: “Destroys weak terrain or destabilizes platforms/walls.”
XF-X: Third Wave Flip Flop "But It Uses Tutorial Songs"
Downgrade Arrow: “Downgrades enemy behavior, rhythm, or intelligence for a moment” “as if they’re in ‘training mode.’”
XH-X: Final Hope "But It Matches The Beat"
Syncro Arrow: Similar to Cadenza's Waltz Script or Jazz’s (Credits Penguin) abilities, forces targets’ movements to sync to whatever rhythm is currently playing. If there is not one, it temporarily creates a simple 4/4 rhythm that targets will have to follow.
XR-X: Rose Garden "But The Second Part Of The Song Is Gone"
Split Arrow: ???
PA-X: Distance "But The Midspins Are NOWHERE"
Nullshot Arrow: ???
