In 2002, John Kricfalusi was hired by The New TNN (later Spike TV; now Paramount Network) to produce new episodes of Ren & Stimpy, this time aimed at adults, for TNN’s new animation block, “The Strip.” Kricfalusi reprised his role as Ren, while Stimpy was voiced by Eric Bauza. Due to production delays, only three episodes aired (with one episode being split into two parts) before the show was canceled along with the rest of TNN’s animated lineup; the remaining episodes were eventually released on DVD in 2006.
