I. Introductory Period of Employment
Your initial 90 days of employment with 801 Restaurant Group is considered an introductory period. As in all employment relationships, there is a “get acquainted” period where your performance on the job, including but not limited to your adherence to Company policies and your potential abilities, will be evaluated to determine whether your placement has been appropriate and whether the Company’s and your own expectations have been met. Your job performance during this period may be subject to a greater level of scrutiny than other employees who are no longer in their introductory period. Successful completion of the introductory period is not a promise of continued employment and employment with the Company remains at-will. Further, the Company reserves the right to extend an employee’s introductory period at its sole discretion.
II. Open Door Policy
As an employee we encourage you to ask questions of any manager, supervisor, other employees, or an officer of the company about any issues or concerns. You also have the responsibility to respond within a reasonable amount of time to any questions asked of you by management. You are encouraged to take full advantage of this policy without concern of reprisal. Under this policy, we ask that you speak with your immediate manager as a first step when you have an issue or concern. Please come to management with possible solutions and options versus complaints only. We are committed to your development and giving you the feedback you need to succeed. This path requires open two-way communication between all levels on the needs and goals of the individual.
III. Equal Opportunity Employment
We are an equal opportunity employer. It is our policy to make employment decisions on the basis of skill, training, ability, attitude and character without regard to age, sex or gender (including pregnancy), color, creed, race, national origin, ancestry, religion, citizenship status, sexual orientation, gender identity (including transgender status), veteran/military status, marital status, physical or mental disability, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable law. Our management team at 801 Restaurant Group is dedicated to ensuring the fulfillment of this policy with respect to hiring, placement, promotion, transfer, demotion, layoff, termination, recruitment advertising, pay, access to facilities and programs, and other forms of compensation, training, and general treatment during employment. Employees with questions or concerns about equal employment opportunities in the workplace are encouraged to bring these issues to the attention of their General Manager or the Chief Financial Officer at 801 Restaurant Group Headquarters. We will not allow any form of retaliation against employees who raise issues of perceived discrimination in good faith. To ensure our workplace is free of artificial barriers, violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including discharge.
