Troon

THE TROON

The Troon originated in Des Moines at the first 801 Chophouse during a fund-raising event in 2006. Most of the restaurants in the area participated. Each store was to create a unique martini and the guests would purchase a Martini glass and go to each restaurant to sample the martini. After the event the guests all voted on which restaurant had the best Martini and the Troon was Voted the Winner!!!!!

Troon was also the name of one of Jimmy’s dogs.

INGREDIENT AMOUNT

Grapefruit Vodka 1.5 oz

Fresh Squeezed Grapefruit Juice 2.5 oz

Simple Syrup 0.5 oz

Glassware Up ~ Martini Glass with sugar rim

Garnish Sugar Rim, large Grapefruit wedge

PROCEDURE:

Shake all ingredients together with ice until well chilled
Strain into sugar rimmed Martini glass
