Computing Power Jewelry – The Quantum Series
By Ting Song
Video & Animation
Flowers and strings collapse under the observation of the quantum double-slit effect, where flowers and jewels transform into each other in parallel different possibilities. The Quantum series is one of the artist's abstract reflections on quantum science.
Centering "computation" as the core, the artist builds a unique dataset and custom LoRA model, generating images which are then transformed into videos through various generative AI models. The motif of "mirrored flowers and flowing moonlight" has long been a recurring image in the artist’s exploration of quantum philosophical imagination. In the artworks, flowers and metals metaphorically represent the computational states of 0 and 1—where in classical computing 0 and 1 exist exclusively, but in quantum states, 0 and 1 coexist and dynamically collapse, just as depicted in the scenes.
