"There is a party in my room and I'm not invited" explores the autonomous development of communication between artificial intelligence systems. This project utilises two advanced language models, allowing them to interact without human intervention or oversight.
The study focuses on the emergence and evolution of Al-generated language patterns that diverge from human linguistic norms. As the Al agents communicate, they develop a high-dimensional language structure that becomes increasingly complex and challenging for human comprehension.
The project is situated within a virtual representation of the artist's room, symbolising the intimate yet alienating nature of this Al interaction. Viewers are positioned as silent observers, metaphorically 'peeping' into this digital space where they can witness but not participate in the Al's evolving dialogue. This setup creates a contrast between the familiar setting of a personal room and the unfamiliar, often inscrutable exchanges occurring within it. The room becomes a liminal space, highlighting the growing gap between human and artificial intelligence as we watch these entities communicate in ways that increasingly elude our understanding.
