Installation & Interactive Art

This is an audiovisual installation that primarily explores how hybrid performers, in the context of posthumanism, challenge the human-centered subject. On the surface, it portrays the dynamic process of a fish exploring and swimming through the universe with its fins. On a deeper level, it delves into multiple layers of philosophical reflection. The first layer addresses issues in electronic music performances, questioning the irreplaceability of human performers and whether non-human ensembles (fish, computer programs, robotic arm,AI) could surpass humans. It also explores whether passive performances need redefinition and if non-human performers have unique advantages. In the digital age, humans must reconsider their uniqueness on stage and explore more creative forms of performance. The second layer examines the future relationship between carbon-based life and the digital world. With advancements in brain-computer interfaces, humans and digital technology are moving toward symbiosis. The particle imagery suggests that the culture and identity of the fish (carbon-based life) will be reshaped in the digital world, hinting at the possibility of digital and carbon-based life forming a diverse ecological system in the future.Â
