Dr. Chng Chai Kiat obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the National University of Singapore in 2000 and continued his education there, earning a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Orthodontics in 2007. Further enhancing his expertise, Dr. Chng achieved membership in Orthodontics (M Orth RCSEd) from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, and completed a fellowship in Cleft & Craniofacial Orthodontics at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan in 2008. He is currently serving as the Head and Senior Consultant in the Cleft & Craniofacial Dentistry Unit at KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Singapore. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Chng is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore and has been an influential speaker at various international conferences, including the 9th International Orthodontic Congress and the ASEAN Roundtable on Oral Health Promotion in 2024. His experience also encompasses noteworthy roles such as Dental Officer in the Ministry of Health, Singapore, and Executive Secretary of the Singapore Dental Council. Dr. Chng Chai Kiat's contributions to orthodontics, particularly in the realm of cleft and craniofacial treatment, position him as a key figure in advancing clinical practice and education in this specialized field.
