In recent years, the digital revolution in dentistry has brought about significant changes to the orthodontic clinical routine, from diagnosis to treatment strategies. A workflow is defined as a sequence of steps that, when executed, achieve a specific diagnostic or therapeutic goal. This presentation aims to describe digital workflows that can improve the predictability of clinical outcomes with fixed straight-wire appliances.
The steps of the proposed digital workflows will be illustrated by presenting several clinical cases. The orthodontic literature supporting this digital approach will also be presented. Furthermore, the advantages of this approach will be analyzed and discussed. Finally, the conclusions and take-home messages will be presented.
