From another state Air National Guard (State to State)
Primary Point of Contact for State to State Transfers to the 133AW, Minnesota ANG.
MSgt Jeffrey Sprick
Get the AF1288 – Complete page 1 and work with your FSS/MPF Separation’s Office to complete page 2 endorsement 1.
i can send that AF1288 to you if your FSS/MPF team isn't able too.
You’ll also want to make sure your chain of command is in the loop with your request to transfer.
NOTE: Some states won’t support endorsement 1 signature until endorsement 2 is signed by the gaining Wing. If that is the case for you, just let me know, and I’ll be flexible in completing endorsement 2 first.
While that is being processed, please send me a current print out of your RIP and Fitness.
Once I receive your AF1288, RIP and Fitness I will work with our MDG to approve your transfer. If they require anything additional, I’ll let you know. Sometimes MDG needs supporting documents and sometimes they don’t.
Once MDG approves you, I will verify with our Wing on your position and the details required for that.
Once that is completed, we will set a date for enlistment with us. Your enlistment duration will be whatever is remaining on your current contract.
NOTE: Once we know the date for your enlistment with us, we’ll get Chief Jones and his CSS team involved for that coordination piece.
There may be additional documents or actions needed from you, but for the most part the above is a good overview of basic process requirements.
