From Active Duty

Question: I am a current Active Duty member who wants to transfer to the Air National Guard after my current enlistment is up OR before my current enlistment is up. What program do I apply for?

Answer: If you are looking to transfer after your current enlistment is up, with no break in service, the program is called Palace Front. If you are looking to transfer before your current enlistment is up, that program is called Palace Chase.

Point of Contacts: Either way, to get started you will need to meet with your base's Air National Guard In-Service Recruiter (ISR). They will clarify the initial process for you. If you are having trouble finding your ISR contact our Recruiting Flight Chief MSgt Nicole Heussner at Nicole.Heussner@us.af.mil or our Advanced Recruiter TSgt Jesse Todd at Jesse.Todd@us.af.mil .

Next Step: After you meet with your ISR, they will have you complete some paperwork and apply for the appropriate program. Once you are approved for the program (Palace Chase or Palace Front), you'll be connected with our Recruiting Team to start the approval to gain you to our wing.

The approval includes a review of your service record and our Medical team will review your medical record. Through out that process, one of our Recruiters will work with you and keep you updated until you are officially approved and gained to our Wing!

Each process can be slightly different, so having a good working relationship with your ISR and Recruiting Team is important.
