How to use Guide for Ch. 1606
Meet with MSgt Sprick and complete a Notice of Basic Eligibility form (NOBE).
If you are eligible for the GI Bill Kicker, we will complete that contract immediately after the NOBE.
Most people are not eligible for the GI Bill Kicker.
Wait 1 week for the VA system to sync with mine and see your eligibility for this benefit.
Create your VA.gov account.
Apply for GI Bill Chapter 1606
If you have the GI Bill Kicker, be sure to select it in the application (it will be a Reserve Kicker).
If you do not have the GI Bill Kicker and select it, your application will be disapproved by the VA and you will need to re-apply to correct it.
You will receive a document in the mail from the VA titled Certificate of Eligibility (COE). Unfortunately, that letter takes up to 30 days to get to you! ***SAVE THIS DOCUMENT***
Meet with your school's VA coordinator and allow them to verify you are good to go.
They may have you create another account called W.A.V.E. to verify your attendance every month. Here is that link:

If you have issues for sure you can contact me at Jeffrey.Sprick.2@us.af.mil but I do not have authority like the VA does and I am limited in how I can help.
Your better option is to follow the instructions on your COE or calling the VA directly at 1-888-GI-BILL-1 (1-888-442-4551).
