these screenshots are from brooklyn nine nine i have took an intrest in the on screen editing and in the first screenshot it shows the main protagonist and his co worker but this mid close up shows the intamacy and connection between them wich is forshadowed to later seasons where they become a couple. the last clip is a long shot and gives us a whole veiw of their uniforms and who is actually in shot and just from their outfits u can tell who takes their job seriously and who dosent. costume is a huge thing when filming
the colour pallet is like primary colours of red, blue and yellows to introduce each of the characters. i think that this is to replicate the police feel of the blues and reds i have used this in my intro for example the killer is in red, and the detectives are in blue . and the sound is very upbeat.
improvement- at first we had a song but as we listened to it a few times over we realised that it didnt sort of fit the genre that we wre trying to achive and we found a new song wich has good beat drops and when in the editing process we worked tho song to the clips to hit the beats.
this is the opening shot of friends and it establishes the setting (new york) and it helps the audience to know where it is set and what would happen in the are i think the intro of friends has inpired me to do a couple of one second shots of each of the characters.
improvement- i ended the show with a Brooklyn 99 style as i think it was more fitting for the genre of the tv show which is crime and i thought that if i did a intro based of friends it wouldnt work with the genre. B99 is more of a comedy where as our tv show is on the serious side more like the show hannibal.
this is a screenshot from hannibal in the opening scence where the decetive is on the crime scene i took inspo from as in our production we had our dead body there and then we added our own pool of blood to make it more authentic to the genre
the mind map we made when we were gathering ideas for our tv intro
this is our ideas for characters and what they will be wearing and their personalities
this is the first page of the script it has the information to establish the scene this is very helpful to directors as then they know what is going on and where everyone needs to go.
we found this local park and we think that it fits the vibe and aesthetics we want in our intro the sketchiness and abandoned feel that this park gives and there is a perfect bush for the scene where a mystery guy appears the enclosed area gives a secluded feel and where a crime would take place
this is the song we have picked out for the title screen it has a few beat drops which I think adds more emphasis to the title card and it sets the genre of crime I feel.
i drew a story board to get an idea of the camera angles and shot sizes which we used when in production and the camerawoman (jess) managed to execute them through cinematography well and they all fit well together
improvement- these are currently the best teen tv shows but i personally do not think that these are the best as i feel not many teenagers around the age 15+ wouldnt watch these and whatch more up to date tv shows maby more animated (family guy, south park, simpsons) but our show is a crime/mystery which makes it a similar genre to what was on the "top best tv shows" meaning people still would have an intrest in our show.
