You're staying in one of the best locations on Sugar Mountain. The Shallowford Walk Condos are perfect for sledding and snowboarding during the winter. The Shallowford Walk Condos are also within 5 minutes of shopping to get your gift giving a boost year-round!

This spot combines year-round convenience with cozy comfort and the natural beauty of the mountains — the perfect base for your mountain adventure.

House Rules 🏠

• Check-Out Time

  • 10:00am 

  • Please Note: Your front door code will stop working at your Check-Out Time on your departure day; be sure to gather all your belongings and check out by this time

• Front Door Lock

  • Make sure you know your Access Code before leaving, you will need it to get back in

  • To lock the door when leaving press the Checkmark button at the bottom of the keypad

  • To unlock the door when returning, type in your 6-digit code then press the Checkmark on the keypad

• Parking

  • Display your DHCV Parking Pass at all times

  • Please only park in the spaces in front of or beside the unit 

  • There is a 2 car maximum, if you are in need of overflow parking please reach out to our office

• Shoes

  • Please do not wear your ski boots or golf shoes inside

Before You Check Out 🧹

We appreciate your help with the following:

• Take out the trash to the enclosed outdoor bins

  • the Trash House is located in the parking lot, across from Building D

  • please ensure all your bags are tied tightly and be sure to close the door securely 🐻 

• Load and start the dishwasher

• Leave used towels in the bathrooms

• Leave any beds that were slept in unmade

• Return any moved furniture to original place

⭐ If you don't have breakfast plans after your Departure, we highly recommend stopping by High Country Pies for a breakfast pie to-go on your way out of town; they are located at 3277 Tynecastle Hwy, Banner Elk, NC 28604 

House Information 🏡 

• Dishwasher

  • Cycle knob: furthest left. Choose your cycle

  • Delay button: to the right (optional)

  • Options: Sani Rinse, Heated Dry, Hi Temp Wash, Control Lock

  • Start button: far right

  • To cancel and drain: hold Start for 3 seconds

• Living Room

  • TV: 

    • Smart TV only, no cable

    • Power button is in the top left corner

    • The home screen gives you access to streaming apps (log in with your own accounts)

  • Fireplace: 

    • Small log with an ON/OFF switch

    • Flip ON for flames

    • Flip OFF when you’re warm, or leaving

    • Please, do not leave the premises with the fireplace on

• Thermostat

  • Located on the wall past the two hall closets (to the right)

  • Snowflake = AC. To switch to heat, press the 3-dot button (snowflake disappears, heat waves appear)

  • Adjust temp with the up/down buttons above and below the dots

  • Suggested settings: 75° in summer, 65° in winter

• Washer & Dryer

  • Washer:

• Knobs and buttons are on the left side

• Turn the first knob to choose a cycle

• Use the grey button to start

• The white button is for deep rinse (use if adding fabric softener)

• Other knobs: temperature + load size

• To stop/turn off: set the cycle knob to OFF

• Dryer:

  • Knob is on the far right

  • Turn to your desired setting

  • Press the grey start button to begin
