Location 📍

You’re located in The Reserve, a condominium community perched near the summit of Sugar Mountain. At an elevation of around 5,200 feet it offers panoramic, multi-layered views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

House Rules 🏠

• Check-Out Time

  • 10:00am 

  • Please Note: Your front door code will stop working at your Check-Out Time on your departure day; be sure to gather all your belongings and check out by this time

• Front Door Lock

  • Make sure you know your Access Code before leaving, you will need it to get back in

  • To lock the door when leaving press the Yale button at the top of the keypad

  • To unlock the door when returning, type in your 6-digit code then press the checkmark on the keypad

• Parking

  • Display your DHCV Parking Pass at all times

  • Please only park in front of Building 13, alternatively you can park down on the right-hand side of Building 13

  • There is a 2 car maximum, if you are in need of overflow parking please reach out to our office

• Pets

  • No pets allowed

• Shoes

  • Please do not wear your ski boots or golf shoes inside

Before You Check Out 🧹

We appreciate your help with the following:

• Take out the trash to enclosed outdoor bins 🐻

  • Using Google Maps you can click the link for directions to the Village of Sugar Mountain Household Waste Site

• Load and start the dishwasher

• Leave used towels in the bathrooms

• Leave any beds that were slept in unmade

• Return any moved furniture to original place

⭐ If you don't have breakfast plans after your Departure, we highly recommend stopping by High Country Pies for a breakfast pie to-go on your way out of town; they are located at 3277 Tynecastle Hwy, Banner Elk, NC 28604 

House Information 🏡 

• Air Conditioning & Heating

  • The controls for the Heating/Cooling system are located on the wall behind the Dining Table

  • To avoid malfunction, please adjust temperature incrementally by 2 degrees at a time, over several hours

• Deck Sliding Doors

  • There is a lock on the Handles for the sliding glass doors, as well as a Foot Lock

  • Foot Lock: you must push the lever on the front of the Foot Lock in to unlock, and push the top of the Foot Lock down to lock it back up

• Dishwasher

  • On the top-left side of the Dishwasher, choose your desired Cycle Setting

  • There are other options in the top-middle such as Hi-Temp Boost, No Heat, Reset, etc.

  • On the top-right side there is a dial that you turn to the desired cycle and the dishwasher will start once the door is closed

  • For your convenience we have provided a starter amount of Dishwasher Detergent Tabs

• Fireplace

  • In the fireplace there is a small log on the right hand side with an On/Off Switch that will turn the flame on/off

  • On the wall to the right of the Fireplace there is a Fireplace Remote with an On/Off button as well as other controls

  • to adjust the temperature on the remote you have to hit the Mode button first, then to make the temperature go up you have to hit Set until you get it to your desired temperature, and then hit Mode again to set your temperature in place

• Hallway Bathroom - Bathtub & Shower

  • To turn on the Shower Head you must first turn on the Tub spigot

  • Then, you must pull down on the circle piece of the tub spout (where the water is coming from)

• Laundry

  • A Washer and Dryer are located inside the closet near the Kitchen

  • Important: After using the dryer, please clean the lint tray

• Water Heater (only in the event of no hot water)

  • Water Heater: located in the second closet on the right when you enter the Front Door

  • Breaker Panel: located in the hallway leading to the Queen Bedroom

  • In the event of no hot water make sure the Water Heater breaker switch is in the On position, then make sure the Red Lever on the Water Heater is parallel with the blue hose by turning it to the right, if the Red Lever is not parallel with the Blue Hose it's not turned on
