You're staying in one of the best locations on Sugar Mountain. The Bee Branch condos are perfect for skiing and snowboarding in the winter, with direct access to the slopes. Just out back, you’ll find a path that leads straight to Easy Street, the beginner slope at Sugar Mountain Resort.

This spot combines true slope-side convenience with cozy comfort and the natural beauty of the mountains — the perfect base for your mountain adventure.

House Rules 🏠

• Check-Out Time

  • 10:00am 

  • Please Note: Your front door code will stop working at your Check-Out Time on your departure day; be sure to gather all your belongings and check out by this time

• Front Door Lock

  • Make sure you know your Access Code before leaving, you will need it to get back in

  • To lock the door when leaving press the Yale button at the top of the keypad

  • To unlock the door when returning, type in your 6-digit code then press the checkmark on the keypad

• Parking

  • Display your DHCV Parking Pass at all times

  • Please only park in front of Building 3

• Pets

  • No pets allowed

• Shoes

  • Please do not wear your ski boots or golf shoes inside

Before You Check Out 🧹

We appreciate your help with the following:

• Take out the trash to the enclosed outdoor bins

  • the Trash House is located in the parking lot, to the left of the Building 3 when you are facing it

  • please ensure all your bags are tied tightly and be sure to close the door securely 🐻 

• Load and start the dishwasher

• Leave used towels in the bathrooms

• Leave any beds that were slept in unmade

• Return any moved furniture to original place

⭐ If you don't have breakfast plans after your Departure, we highly recommend stopping by High Country Pies for a breakfast pie to-go on your way out of town; they are located at 3277 Tynecastle Hwy, Banner Elk, NC 28604 

House Information 🏡 

• Building Entrance

  • Once you’ve parked, head to the stairs all the way to the right.

  • At the top of the stairs, turn left and walk down the porch.

  • At the end of the porch, you’ll see a door on the right – go through it.

  • Unit 36 is the second door on the left; it will have a 36 on it. 

• Baseboard Heating

  • Please do not place anything on or against the baseboards, it is a serious fire hazard

  • When facing the Heating Dial, turning the dial clockwise turns the temperature down or off, and turning the dial counterclockwise turns the raises temperature

• Dishwasher

  • All the buttons are in the center of the panel

  • The Cycle button is on the left—turn it to pick the wash cycle you want

  • Next to the right is the Dry Boost button—choose your drying setting

  • Then, the Wash Temp button is next—select the water temperature

  • The Start button is the last one on the right

  • Once you’ve chosen all your settings, close the dishwasher door and then press the Start button while the door is closed

  • You’ll hear a click to let you know it started

• Ice Maker in Freezer

  • Out of order. Sorry for any inconvenience.

  • Please use ice cube trays provided instead.

• Fireplace in the Living Room

  • To turn on, find the timer knob at the bottom left of the fireplace

  • Turn the knob to the right to set the amount of time you want it on

  • To turn it off, simply turn the knob back to the “off” position

• Sliding Door

  • To unlock the sliding door, pull the tab on the handle down

  • There is also a screen door with its own lock. To unlock it, push the tab in the center of the screen door handle up

  • The screen door can open and close roughly, so use a little force but be careful not to damage the screen

• Television in the Living Room

  • The TV is a TCL Roku TV

  • Press the red power button at the top center of the Roku remote to turn it on

  • Use the arrow buttons to move right and select the app you want

  • To watch Spectrum, open the Spectrum app

  • To switch to a different streaming service, press the Home button (it has a little house symbol, next to and below the power button)

• Washing Machine and Dryer

  • Washer

    • The buttons and knobs are on the left side

    • Turn the leftmost knob to choose your wash cycle

    • Press the Start button (right next to the wash cycle knob)

    • If you want a Deep Rinse, press the button next to Start

    • Use the next knob to choose the Water Temperature

    • Then, turn the Load Size knob to the right setting

    • Close the lid and press Start if you haven’t already

  • Dryer

    • The dryer cycle knob is all the way to the right – turn it to your desired setting

    • Clean the lint tray (it’s right in front inside the door)

    • Close the dryer door

    • Press the blue Start button (left of the dryer cycle knob)

    • Important: After using the dryer, please clean the lint tray
