Location 📍

You’re located in The Reserve, a condominium community perched near the summit of Sugar Mountain. At an elevation of around 5,200 feet it offers panoramic, multi-layered views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

At Building 36 you can walk straight across the parking lot, take a few steps on the snow, and you are at the top of Sugar Mountain's main chairlift! A map is at the bottom of the page showing the approximate location of the chairlift in relation to Building 36.

House Rules 🏠

• Check-Out Time

  • 10:00am 

  • Please Note: Your front door code will stop working at your Check-Out Time on your departure day; be sure to gather all your belongings and check out by this time

• Front Door Lock

  • Make sure you know your Access Code before leaving, you will need it to get back in

  • To lock the door when leaving press the Yale button at the top of the keypad

  • To unlock the door when returning, type in your 6-digit code then press the checkmark on the keypad

• Parking

  • Display your DHCV Parking Pass at all times

  • Please only park in front of Building 36

  • There is a 2 car maximum, if you are in need of overflow parking please reach out to our office

• Pets

  • No pets allowed

• Shoes

  • Please do not wear your ski boots or golf shoes inside

Before You Check Out 🧹

We appreciate your help with the following:

• Take out the trash to enclosed outdoor bins 🐻

  • Using Google Maps you can click the link for directions to the Village of Sugar Mountain Household Waste Site

• Load and start the dishwasher

• Leave used towels in the bathrooms

• Leave any beds that were slept in unmade

• Return any moved furniture to original place

⭐ If you don't have breakfast plans after your Departure, we highly recommend stopping by High Country Pies for a breakfast pie to-go on your way out of town; they are located at 3277 Tynecastle Hwy, Banner Elk, NC 28604 

House Information 🏡 

• Air Conditioning & Heating

  • The thermostat is located on the wall near the master bedroom door.

• To switch between heat and cool, tap the three bars in the top right corner of the screen and choose your desired mode.

• To adjust the temperature, tap the temperature numbers and follow the on-screen prompts.

• Deck Sliding Doors

  • There is a lock on the Handles for the sliding glass doors, as well as a Foot Lock

  • Foot Lock: you must push the lever on the front of the Foot Lock in to unlock, and push the top of the Foot Lock down to lock it back up

• Dishwasher

  • On the left side, select your desired wash program — a light will appear next to the selected option.

  • On the right side, choose any additional options (a light will show when selected).

  • Press the Start button in the middle to begin the cycle.

• Hold the Start button for 3 seconds to cancel.

• If the light blinks, make sure the door is fully closed.

• Fireplace

  • Flip the light switch to the right of the fireplace up to turn on the flame. 

  • Do not add any real logs to the fireplace.

  • Do not leave the premises while the fireplace is on.

• Laundry

  • Washer

    • Use the two left knobs to select Load Size and Water Temperature.

    • Use the right knob to choose your wash cycle.

    • Pull the knob to start and push to stop.

  • Dryer

    • Use the center knob to select your cycle.

    • Use the temperature knob to the right to choose your heat level.

    • Press the Start knob (far right) to begin.

    • To stop, open the door or turn the cycle knob to Off.
      Please clean the lint tray (below the start knob) after each use.

• Sliding Glass Doors

  • At the bottom right of the door, there’s a foot lock

  • To unlock it, make sure the front tab is pushed in

  • To lock it, push down the circular top piece

  • There’s also a lock on the handle—flick it up to unlock, flick it down to lock
