Responsibilities of the CAS Student
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN JOY!! Try new things you have always wanted to try🪂🏂
STAY ENGAGED! CAS runs for 18 months - September of DP1 to March of DP2. Plan out your experiences and projects to remain productive in CAS the whole time.
CHALLENGE YOURSELF! Choose experiences that you know will help you learn new things, develop new skills and grow personally.
TARGETS during your 18 month CAS program:
Acheive each strand of C, A and S at least one time
Achieve each of seven learning outcomes successfully at least one time
Successfully complete at least one project lasting at least 1 month
MAINTAIN a CAS portfolio with the following
A clear description of each experience or project
Targeted learning outcomes appropriate to the work you will be doing
State clear goals explaining how you will achieve learning outcomes
Support your work in CAS with reflections that evaluate your progress in achieving your goals and chosen learning outcomes
BE PREPARED TO
discuss plans for CAS experiences with the CAS coordinator and/or CAS adviser
understand and apply the CAS stages where appropriate
become more aware of personal interests, skills and talents and observe how these evolve
behave appropriately and ethically in choice and behaviour
