Throughout our integration with the unit of inquiry "Civilisations", we will learn how music was used in some ancient civilisations. We started by learning a bit about the origins of music:

We will turn our inquiries towards four particular civilisations: the Vikings, Ancient China, Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece.
We will do some research into their music and practise some of the musical elements that they used and that are still present in today's music.

As we explored the Vikings and their music, we learned to sing and play the song "Dromte mig en drom in nat" (I dreamed a dream), the first written song that was found in Scandinavia around the 13th century. Check out our skills:
