Our project for this unit is to complete booklets with information and reflections about music in different parts of the World.
In class we are learning about music in different continents. We have looked at the characteristics of the music as well as traditional instruments. We have also discussed the key concepts Function and Connection that helped us understand what people use music for and how we can connect to different cultures through their music.
At home, students can complete the booklet by adding some interesting facts they find about the continents as well as a final reflection related to the countries and songs we learned about.
We started our trip with a great song that invited us to travel North, south, East and West.
You can listen to it again: Kalimba
