My academic profile is spread out in several academic fields. I hold a Master’s degree in Systems Biology and a Master’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Hyderabad. I am pursuing MA in Communication (Media Practice) from the University of Hyderabad.
I am currently the co-editor of the Vantage 2022 magazine, an annual publication by students of Feature and Analytical Writing course at the Department of Communication, University of Hyderabad.
I’m interested in writing and making graphic designs about technology and related areas. I’m a tech lover who spends numerous hours weekly reading about new technological advancements. Being an Otaku, I leave no stone unturned in watching a good anime or reading a manga that’s out there.
I have spent around a year working in tribal areas as a field researcher, which made me realise the importance of communication in transforming people’s everyday lives, which led me to this course. I have studied material culture among the Kondareddi tribes of the Rampachodavaram agency area of Andhra Pradesh. This experience positively transformed my perception of life while providing me with a chance to witness new cultures.
I have worked as a Research Assistant for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). I had the opportunity to study the cultures and health behaviours of Savara tribes and work closely with health officials and bureaucrats of the Seethampeta agency area in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh.
I have worked as a Data Analyst at the University of Hyderabad for the Department of Tribal Welfare of Telangana state. I have analysed the dropouts rates among tribal populations, written reports, and developed statistical charts and designs.
I have worked with the Siasat Daily, a Hyderabad based local newspaper, where I have written and published articles on the latest innovations in technology.
With all the experiences and skills I have garnered over here, I’m looking forward to the new adventures in the media sector in the hope of leaving my mark.
